One of my favorite television shows of all time is CBS's NCIS. A primary reason I feel the show works so well is due to the character development and interaction. Of course what every good team needs is a team psychologist, which in this case Dr. Mallard aka "Ducky." For the first few seasons of the show Ducky wasn't officially sanctioned in psychology. Rather he was unofficially called upon to "talk" with his patients in autopsy. As the series progressed he actually took classes and became officially trained in psychology. While one could argue that his skills are usually confined to a more profiler type realm than more traditional psychological practice, I still count him as a favorite psychologist on television ; )
